I also signed up to get the blast email from BAPA - they always have intersting items about things in the neighborhood and they put things in about Mt. Greenwood.

Anyway, I received a flier from the ward office, 2 blast emails from the ward office, 2 blast emails from BAPA, saw it in the paper and read it here - saw the rowdy going-ons at other such meetings on the news and they said more meeting will be held throughout the city so I looked online and found the info there as well. So, other than knocking on my door and getting a personal invite I think the information was out there well in advance.

Oh and the flier you got - perhaps you got it on Wednesday - if it is the same flier I and others got it was promoting the movie in the park too.

So,Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3637815564696693043.post-21053601934210619682009-08-07T22:36:27.359-05:002009-08-07T22:36:27.359-05:00"Pretty poor showing at the meeting last nigh..."Pretty poor showing at the meeting last night - what 160 - 180 people and numerous of them where not even from our ward."

That's because I had no Idea that there was a meeting until I received a flier in the mail from Ald. This meeting was the vaseline before we all get screwed. Just waiting to retire and get the hell out of this city, county and state. Death of the middle class in Chicago via taxation, reverse discrimination, no police protection, a cut in city services, layoffs, cut in pay, unpaid furloughs, no raise in over 2 years, the union busting, and no respect of contracts.
