I would like to see 111th street from Western to Pulaski renamed Nipsy Russel blvd. in honor of that great African American comedic genuis and all around funny man.
You are a Dad in today's world. I get the impact of you not working, we are experiencing it in our household. But as I tell my husband, it is how your kids see you work through it that counts. Good Luck, and hopefully they will figure out a way to keep you guys/gals working.
sorry to hear about that! hopefully, all will get their jobs back! i'm a huge fan of the unions! i belong to the teacher's union...it sucks when the mayor starts talking about taking unpaid days but hell...i'd gladly, give up 15 or whatever days they are talking about to keep my job and to help others to keep theirs! Hopefully, something will work out...it has to!
We give up enough, we don't get to swipe at the firehouses while the rest of the crew is sitting in the tavern across the street like the garbage men. Plus our jobs are dangerous, and we get horse $hit pay as it is, we are way overworked. So get over yourself it will be a cold day in hell before I give something up. Vote in a better union if you don't like it.

I'm trying to enjoy father's day, but it's hard to concentrate because of my layoff notice staring me in the face. What kind of father am I?
Where are the alderman who care so much about the city workers and what are they doing to convince Daley not to go through with it?

ARE YOU KIDDING ME? With over 25 shootings this weekend alone - they deserve to be paid more.
