Just too Gross - Burr Oak Cemetery is in a TON of Trouble

For those of you wondering what all the police, helicopters, etc. were all about today, here you go:

~From Chicagobreakingnews.com~

Dozens of graves have been dug up in historic Burr Oak Cemetery in Alsip and the bodies dumped "in a massive pile on cemetery grounds," the Cook County sheriff's office says.

No details were immediately available, but Cook County Sheriff Tom Dart plans to hold a news conference at the gates of the cemetery in 4400 block of West 127th Street in the south suburb at 5 p.m.

His office says Dart will discuss the results of a financial crimes investigation at the cemetery, where many famous African-Americans are buried, including Emmett Till, Willie Dixon and Dinah Washington.

***** UPDATE**********
For at least the past four years, employees were excavating entire burial casks - including the concrete vault that surrounds the coffin - moving them to the area on the north end of the property and then smashing them into pieces, Dart said.

The sheriff's department started investigating the cemetery six weeks ago when the owners contacted the department, Dart said.

"It seems some people have some consciences and it bothered them," Dart said.
The investigation started as a financial crimes probe, but it soon took a turn, he said.
"What we found was beyond startling and revolting," Dart said.

He said the employees taking part in the scheme would bury new bodies in the plots, but would do so off the books so that the cemetery's records would not show their treachery. From the outside it would appear the bodies were never moved, he said.

Is Emmett Till the black boy that got kilt for whistling at the white woman?

I want to be cremated and have my ashes sprinkled in Lake Michigan. No one will ever dig me up but people will be drinking me and then recycling me for centuries...

An old partner used to tell me that it's all about money. He was absolutely right. Many people will do anything for money.

One thing is for sure. If they ever make a remake of Amos and Andy, Burr Oak will be a great episode.

Nothing has changed in 50 years.

I dropped my son off at the batting cages last night and there were hundreds of people walking around the cemetary. At first I thought am I missing something? Is today a special holiday? Then it hit me.....they were all walking around to see if their family members have been dug up. However, I also observed them with paper of the plot/location number. If they were that important to you and you were really that concerned, wouldn't you know where they are already? Looks to me like they were all hoping they'd find something wrong to get a big law suit handed to them. Don't get me wrong, I think it was morbid that they did this to begin with.

Anybody see Jesse Jackson hijack Dart's press conference at noon? Hilarious.

Take my word for it, there are people from all over the country on their way to Burr Oak Cemetery to claim they had a "loved one" buried there. Dart and his like told every one in the country that records were destroyed in this process. What do they have to lose but make a claim for a ton of money in a lawsuit. Every scammer in the country is gonna pick up on this one. Thank God this a black owned and black run graveyard. Even Emmitt Tills coffin in rusting away. For over 50 years we have heard of this poor kid who was killed for whistling at a white women. Roads and highways have been named after him in a expression of good faith that the white man is truly sorry for what happened to him which is fine and should have been done, but here you have his own kind spitting on his memory. Just goes to show you what is the main concern in the black community, "EASY MONEY". Gangs, drugs, welfare, health care, day care, link cards, etc. When are the taxpayers and political Democratic parties gonna wake up. When you make someones life so easy, it's never easy enough!!!!

I wonder if Dan Hynes remebers when his Dad and the powers to be slated Tom Dart against Judy Barr Topinka for Treasurer?

Then daddy Tom Hynes didn't get the vote out in the 19th ward for Dart.

Gee, I wonder why Dart had a 2 day lead on this whole thing before Dan Hynes watched the news and decided to get some press exposure of his own?

Three thoughts:

1. Jesse J is trying like a MF to find somebody like us to blame the Burr Oak mess on. Look for him to turn things around and try to put it on Tommie Dart or some other public figure.

2. When all is said and done, the Burr Oak mess is going to cost the taxpayers millions. It's a sad situation, but all the millions in the world can never make the situation right.

3. Perhaps the politicians should appeal to the plot owners and friends of Burr Oak Cemetery for donations to offset the cost of the investigation in these trying economic times!

The Burrheads and Burr Oak screwed up.

Most bodies are buried in metal caskets, yet nobody is finding any metal out there. (Note that Emmett Till's metal casket was relatively intact after 50 years). Three possible explanations:

1. The metal caskets are being sold for scrap,

2. The cemetery personnel targeted bodies buried in wooden caskets, or

3. The number of bodies disinterred is much smaller than reported.

Any ideas??

Dart has had it in for young Hynes ever since he Dart, ran for state treasurer. So much so that 4 years later when young Hynes was running for US Senate, Dart sat down with Barack Obama and convinced him that he could beat the then front-runner Hynes. It is incredible how this whole thing has come back and bit Tom Hynes in the ass. And I don't think Dart is done with the Hynes's yet.
