Hey I hope to see many of my friends and neighbors over at St. Christina's field for the Polka Party on Saturday. Looks to be a great day with some fantastic food.

What a great way to redeem the area in the eyes of the rest of the city with a nice wholesome family event.

Enjoy!!

Hey Ass..We're going to be there too. Looks like it may be a cutthroat kolaczki contest this year. And you're right about making the area look good to the rest of the city. Hopefully this will help to erase the Southside image from that fiasco that happens every March.

Bring on that Polish Food too!!!

Yeah, but where are you going to find someone Polish around here to go? Bring on the corned beef and cabbage...

hmmm, I personally know a few. My husband and my kids. Husband is 1/2 and kids are a 1/4 polish, which make my father-in-law 100% Polish and (GASP!) we all live in Mt. Greenwood. Maybe because of the 1/2 Irish my family has, they allowed us in.

Why do we have to redeem out selves in the eyes of the rest of the city?

How fast we forget. Wasn't the Southside the ridicule of the entire city because of The Southside Irish Parade.

Better than being known as gang banger paradise, nightly shootings, gay pride parade, etc. I think our neighborhood looks pretty good!! And the whole SSI parade notoriety was Beverly

No, it was that team the Sox and the hillbilly following that did that.

The band that is playing is very good...but the food that is available is the BEST in Chicago. Come out and have some fun!

I would like to make a prediction...St. Christina has a Polka Party,(AKA another reason to get drunk at St. Christina Field). Families go to the field to attend and by about 8:00 pm all the adults are drunk and their kids are running all over the park and field doing whatever.
Why does every function at St. Christina field have to involve massive amounts of drinking?
