I received this comment. I tried to find some information on this in some different places, but cannot find any. Does anyone know anything? The purpose of this blog is to keep 60655 updated on what's going on. At this point, however, this is an alleged incident and cannot be confirmed.

Off duty cop shooting an intruder?

Not bonafide. Waldo Cooney's delivery guy got beat up, but it was called in as a shooting. Of course the deliver to some really bad neighborhoods.

How about because the alderthing turned 107th, from Kedzie to Sacramento and Sacramento from 107th to 103rd, a through street for those wanting to avoid the traffic signal at 103rd and Kedzie. She did this years ago, by painting lines down the middle of 107th st. Do you really think we wanted that. Hell no. I'd prefer the snow to some of the scum that now travel down my street. So, because she did this she now has 107th street and Sacramento plowed so people from the east can drive down our street in an effort to avoid 103rd and kedzie. Can you quit whining now? Let me ask you something, when they do plow do you think they stop and push out snow from our parking spots? No. We're plowed in by them constantly, they knock branches off our trees and occassionaly side swipe cars and keep on going. So, although it is nice to have a plow come by and do the street, I'd rather it be for local traffic only. This street has becaome a raceway, a thoroughfare for buses, etc. All the neighbors around here feel the same way. When we complain to the alderthing it falls on deaf ears because we don't live in Beverly. I'm sure you drive down it though, don't you? In the Spring and Summer, do you pay attention to the nice potholes, too? For the 10 times it snows each year, I'd prefer the plows and the stripes go away, along with all the unwanted traffic. Sorry 60655, but I got tired of seeing this poster complaining about this repeatedly. I love your site and hope you keep it going. I'm a resident for over 41 years. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
