Poll

Well it looks like 39% of our bloggers in 60655 like to go to the parade and then to a house party. 35% like to avoid it altogether and stay home.

In light of the fact that baseball is coming upon us quickly...where does your loyalty fall? Red/blue or black/white? North or south?

As Nipsy suggested, there will be no neutral vote in this poll. It's Cubs or Sox.

I know it will be hard with this touchy subject, but please be nice with the comments.

Cubs. Lifetime southsider growing up the Sox were not on television much at all. The Cubs were on summer days watching or listening to the Cubs in the yard or house. That move by the Cubs was enormous in picking up so many generations of fans. My three kids are Cubs fans too, all because of good marketing, I guess. I never root against the Sox unless they play the Cubs of course. I think alot of Sox fans live to hate the Cubs, never could figure that out. I hate the Cardinals and Brewers not the Sox.
Good day

Is it true that off-duty Chicago Police are picketing the SS Irish Parade this year, due to the Democrat Politicians there, and the poloice not having a Contract for almost 2 years?

GO CUBS, they're NOT Obamas Team!

Cubs play in a real ball park and a real league (Without that stupid D.H. rule.) Hey, why don't they expand that to every position player that can't hit too. Let's take all the strategy out of the game. Too bad the Sox didn't move down to Florida like they said they would if they didn't get the loan to build a new park. Ain't it time to renovate that crappy place again? Go Cubs.

I hope the Police picket the parade and also picket the judges house who insisted the police commissioner turn over the names of police officers with 5 or more complaints against them. I work along side police quit a bit and see them in action in some of the worst areas in the city and believe me, no matter how polite they are to the offender, they are harrassed, spit upon, kicked, bitten etc. and when the criminal gets a lawyer a commplaint is filed against the arresting officers. 90% are unfounded after review. If you don't think the names will leak out to the criminal element you are sadly mistaken. I would not be a police officer in this city under this court system or administration for all the tea in China. Sure do feel sorry for you Police Officers!!
