I'm Done With Winter!

Good news is Mother Nature took care of what the City of Chicago could not, got the side streets cleaned up. But now the new problems begin. I woke up to water in my basement. My front and back yards look like lakes, which means when the weather changes and my lakes freeze, I can rent them out as skating rinks. Mt. Greenwood park is underwater too. Ugghhh.

From the Chicago Tribune:

Today's forecast for the region is not likely to ease the pain for Chicagoans who have already had way too much extreme weather for their taste: Rain, flooding, fog, high winds, maybe even tornadoes ... and once it gets colder later tonight, more snow.

And there's this little bit of news: According to the National Weather Service, Chicago set a record for precipitation in 2008 -- the total this morning is 49.84 inches, about a half-inch more than the old record. Hold your applause.

Wonderburger is a great place to get a quick burger and be entertained by the very sincere hospitality of Karen and staff.

Koda is a very unique goumet restaurant which we are quite luckey to have here. It would be a giant hit on the North side too.

Lumes is missing from the list. Why? They offer a great breakfast with excelent service.

Frananello is an overpriced Mexican joint. I mean real overpriced.

Magic has become just some cheap Greek joint. The hash browns are inedible. The orginal Magic on 103 st had the best hash browns in Chicago.

Franconello's is an Italian Restaurant not a Mexican joint. Just wanted to make the clear.

Fanconellos is a Mexican resturant. Go in there and find one Italian. The owners never there so you wont find him. The cooks are from Durango. They cook italian food mexican style or is it mexican food italian style. Either way, its not an Italian joint.

Look's like Ginger Rugai has found this blog! How's that $100.000K part time job treating ya'. Do you think maybe you can find some time to get our "Signature corner" started, if it's not to much trouble. I see 95th & western is looking great! I wonder why that is? 10 years ago discussions about this "Walgreens" corner started. I believe it has been less than 5 years at 95th & Western from start to finish, and its been open for more than a year. What the F%#@!!!
