Best fast food poll coming next

Best fast food coming next (tomorrow 1/2), these restaurants may have tables, but the majority of their business should be "to go." Give me your suggestions. Once a poll has received a vote, I cannot change or add to it. These restaurants should be in the 60655 zip..I know Beverly has some good ones, along with Alsip, Oak Lawn, etc. If you nominate one RIGHT ON THE BORDER, I will count it. Let's start the nominations!

Burrito Station 111th & California

This is the same place that was shut down by the department of health!!!!!!!!!

I think that you need to rethink your post because since this one place is on it I will not go to any of the other ones on the list.

Burrito station will not be on the list because of the past issue of the department of health.

Sewage Burrito's??

Wojo's? The place is a rip off. Went there with my family and spent $34, no problem, I expected to pay since I was paying for 4 people. However, I went to get a refill of my coke. The jag-off manager was right there making sure I paid the 60 cents for my refill. Good food, but prices are crazy.

If you are not going to include Burrito station for a Health department issue, Richie's should be removed from the current poll for their shut down from the health department this past summer. Richie's infraction may not have been as serious as the rotten meat being sold to the public that Burrito station was cited for,(Richie's had Cock roaches running out the front door), but what's fair is fair. Most all of these food service operations have employee's who were not trained in proper sanitation procedures or in some cases just don't care. I've worked in food service and there most likely are a lot of people that read & contribute to this blog that also have at one time of another. Some of the things that go on in the kitchens of these places, would get them shut down as soon as the health department inspector walked through the door.
Like the policeman did, calling the health department to Burrito station, everybody has to call if they think something is not right at a restaurant. Food related illness is very dangerous, especially for the very young or very elderly. These places could end up killing somebody.

I ate a wojo's a few weeks ago. It was expensive but I figured what the hell. The hot dog buns are supposed to be steamed. they werent. they were just out of a chiller. They had some kid working there. He didnt know nor did he care.
Never again for me. Today I went to Wonderburger.........no problems there.

Nicky's, 115 and Pulaski. Most popular sandwiches are Big Baby double cheeseburger and Gyro, but try a grilled chicken sandwich with barbeque sauce....outstanding.

Burrito station is a dirty crappy hole that takes advantage of drunks late at night the food is crap when it is not actually rotted. Hopefully soon to be another of the many vacant store fronts in the area

Don't all late night places count on drunks. I mean if it weren't for us drunks, all Burrito places, White Castles, & Rosies would be out of business. A little respect for the drunks please...they're good for the economy

El Coyote on 116th and Pulaski next to Nicky's.

Fontanos Subs on 95th St. and Top Notch are both excellent, except they are in the land of Liberal Pin-Heads, Beverly.....

Rosangelos Pizza on 95th st. has a great beef sandwich. I know people from all over the city that make a pilgrimage there monthly, and even out of staters. Iknow it is in Evergreen Park, but there are alot of people from 60655 that go there. They should be on the list.

Mr. Hankie's station at 111th & California. Try the number 2 with corn & peanuts. It's awesome! Don't forget to grab a complimentary toothpick and breath mint, your gonna need em' to keep the flies from buzzing around your mouth for the next few hours.

I have to say wojo's, its a little pricey but the food is great. I would of went with PoP's but its just not the same under new ownership. Definately not the same beef.

I see a lot of votes for Pop's on Kedzie. The one on Kedzie is not too bad, but it seems kind of dirty. Try the one at 127th and Harlem. Much cleaner and the food is much better. Plus, plenty of free parking in the Jewel lot.

Taco Joe is running behind Burrito station in this poll? Rotten sewerage meat in all? What's that say about their food. The food at "El Coyote" at 117th and Pulaski is real good. And the people working there actually speak English well enough to carry on a conversation too!
